Bakery Square will soon be working on Bakery Social, a new fun, casual and interesting sit-down restaurant at the heart of the complex. The concept is to make a restaurant perfect for young tech workers in the area which offers a different dining experience. We can't wait to see the final result!
Walnut Capital Partners didn’t have to look far for its new restaurant and bar concept expected to open in Bakery Square after the new year. The company reached into the same building in which its offices are located to partner with long-established Shadyside restaurateur Gregg Caliguiri and company on a new concept to be called Bakery Social.
"It’s going to be a casual sit-down restaurant, full service. a fun bar that possess the energy that Bakery Square needs,” said Caliguiri, who said to expect a new restaurant that will appeal to the young tech workers and other denizens of the growing Penn Avenue corridor. “I‘m pretty certain that all those folks are looking for more a complete meal and an atmosphere where they can go and hold a meeting.”
Expect a menu of gourmet pizzas, salads and warps along with range of craft beers and cocktails, said Caliguiri, who added the plan calls for offering private meeting spaces as well.Click to Read More
