Pittsburgh Ranks High On Economic Index


Pittsburgh stays on top of the nations economy again, this time ranking in the top 10 in the On Numbers Economic Index. The ranking is based of off indicators that analyse 18 statistical indicators including unemployment, earnings, housing-price appreciation, and others.
Pittsburgh is ranked at No. 9 in the index that measures 18 economic indicators through October. Pittsburgh, Boston and Columbus, Ohio, are the only three east of the Mississippi River. 
The region's home value prices and private sector growth rate since 2007 is what makes Pittsburgh so high up on the list. Leading the list is Oklahoma City.
